The Simanjiro Conservation Easement
Working with a local rights-based natural resource focused NGO (Ujumaa Community Resource Trust) we support a project that is protecting the critical breeding habitat of White-tailed Gnus on the Simanjiro Plains to the south or Arusha.
The project has formalized an easement within the village area that is protected from land-use changes (farming) and that is patrolled by village game scouts.
